About Shopping Sight

Shopping Sight publishes plain-language guides across health, finance and the home. We explain how things are priced, what the evidence actually supports, and where the ordinary costs of daily life can reasonably be reduced.

Our aim is narrow and practical. We are not trying to tell you what to buy. We try to explain how a category works, what actually drives the price, which differences between options matter and which are decoration, and what to check before committing. Where a decision genuinely depends on individual circumstances, we say so rather than manufacturing a recommendation.

What we cover

  • Health — Practical health and wellbeing guides — what the evidence supports, what it does not, and what is worth your time.
  • Finance — Money explained plainly: budgeting, borrowing, saving and the costs that quietly accumulate.
  • Home — Running a home for less — maintenance, energy, repairs and the decisions that pay for themselves.

How we write

Articles are researched and written by our editorial contributors and reviewed before publication. We revise pieces when the underlying facts change, and each article carries the date it was last updated so you can judge how current it is.

We avoid absolute claims about products and prices, because both move. Where we give figures, they are intended to show the shape of a cost rather than to serve as a quote.

Editorial independence

The Site carries advertising, and sponsored results are clearly labelled as such wherever they appear. Advertisers have no involvement in our editorial content and no ability to influence what we publish or how we describe a category. Our guides are not ranked, ordered or shaped by commercial relationships.
